Groundwater models are helpful instruments to understand and predict the processes occurring at MAR sites. In this project, ICT tools will be used for model-based planning of MAR schemes in the partner countries. The activities will have demonstrative character and will aim at showing the benefits of MAR as well as the usability of advanced ICT systems for the assessment of MAR projects at different implementation stages. For the simulations, the consortium will use the free groundwater modeling platform developed by the INOWAS research group at TUD (www.inowas.com), which contains a collection of web-based simulation tools of different levels of complexity. The technical output of the project is a toolbox with design instruments for planning and scenarios analysis of MAR schemes under different environmental and socio-economic conditions.
